London is a great city for families, with plenty of things to see and do. But if you're looking for a change of pace, there are also some great places to visit just outside of the city.
Here are a few of our favorite family-friendly destinations within easy reach of London:
Legoland Windsor
Legoland Windsor is a theme park that's perfect for families with young children. The park has a variety of rides, shows, and attractions based on the popular Lego brand. Kids will love exploring the park's different themed areas, including Miniland, Duplo Land, and Lego City.
Legoland Windsor is located about an hour west of London by train. Visitors also come by car via M4 Junction 6, less than 20 minutes away. The park is open daily from 10am to 6pm.
Warner Bros. Studio Tour London - The Making of Harry Potter
The Warner Bros. Studio Tour London - The Making of Harry Potter is a must-see for any fan of the Harry Potter series. The tour takes visitors behind the scenes of the films, showing them how the movies were made and giving them a chance to see some of the original props and costumes. Kids will love exploring the different sets, including the Great Hall, Dumbledore's office, and Hagrid's hut.
